Refund Policy

Effective April 28, 2026

We want you to get a keepsake you actually want to frame. This policy describes when refunds happen automatically, when we will work with you in good faith, and when refunds are not available.

1. Automatic refund on technical failure

If a generation fails for technical reasons on our side(our AI provider was down, our rendering pipeline errored, your scan was rejected by our quality gate before any credit was deducted), the system automatically returns the credit to your account. You don't need to email us — just try again. The refunded credit appears in your billing dashboard within seconds.

If our quality gate determines your scan is too blurry, too small, or not clearly an ultrasound (a common reason generations fail), the credit is not deducted in the first place — you'll see a friendly message asking for a clearer photo before any charge happens.

2. Unsatisfied with a successful generation

The AI is impressive but imperfect. If your generation technically succeeded but the result feels off — wrong proportions, wrong angle, wrong mood — email us at hello@boutiqueultrasound.com with your delivery link and a sentence about what went wrong. We will work in good faith to make it right. Possible outcomes:

  • Re-generation at no extra credit cost (most common — we will tune the inputs and rerun).
  • Refund of the credit, at our discretion, especially if the source scan made a quality result unlikely.
  • A full cash refund of your most recent purchase if you have not yet used most of the credits and you contact us within 7 days of purchase.

We are a small team and respond personally — please give us up to 2 business days.

3. Cash refund window

For purchases of credit packs:

  • Within 7 days of purchase, with unused credits: we will refund the unused portion to your original payment method. Used credits are not refundable in cash, only as credits.
  • After 7 days, or once all credits are used: cash refunds are at our discretion. We err on the side of generosity for first-time customers and clear technical problems.

Refunds are processed back to your original payment method via Stripe and typically arrive within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

4. Expired credits

Credits are valid for 18 months from the date of purchase. Expired credits are not refundable in cash. If you have a significant amount of credits about to expire, email us before the expiry date — we can usually extend by a few months for a good-faith reason.

5. Chargebacks

We strongly prefer to resolve issues directly. If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or card network without first contacting us, your account may be suspended pending resolution. This is not a threat — it is operationally necessary because chargebacks bypass our records and we cannot continue to deliver service to an account in unresolved dispute.

Email us first. We will almost always get to a fair outcome faster than your card network can.

6. How to request

For any refund or credit issue, email hello@boutiqueultrasound.com with:

  • The email address on your account
  • The Stripe receipt number, or the date and amount of your purchase
  • A short note about what happened (one or two sentences is fine)

We respond within 2 business days, usually faster.
